We believe in living with an open heart, a full tank, and a suitcase that’s at least halfway packed at all times. Some people collect stamps or coins — we collect boarding passes, rail tickets, and memories that make us smile every time we think about them.
Whether it’s catching an Amtrak train through the countryside, snagging that perfect Southwest Airlines deal (you know the one — when you feel like you won the lottery of airfare), or sailing off into the sunset with Royal Caribbean or Celebrity, travel is our thing. Planes, trains, and cruise ships — we’ve got love for them all. And let’s not forget our favorite hotel family: Marriott. There’s just something perfect about walking into a cool, clean room after a long travel day, dropping your bags, and whispering, “Yup, we live here now.”
But for us, it’s not just about the destination. It’s about the stories we create along the way — those random laughs, the moments of awe, the inside jokes that come out of nowhere, and the occasional travel fails that make for legendary storytelling later. When we’re not wandering through airports or waking up to the sound of waves on a cruise, we’re usually exploring closer to home. We love nature walks, spontaneous road trips, and museum hopping — basically anything that combines curiosity with snacks and comfortable shoes. Jamie’s usually behind the camera capturing “the perfect shot,” while Jake’s probably thinking about the next meal (or snack… or both).
Cooking is another adventure we love sharing together. We often recreate dishes inspired by our travels — one week we’re making Mediterranean tapas, the next we’re attempting to replicate that incredible Caribbean jerk chicken we had on a cruise (and sometimes totally failing, but in the most delicious way possible). Afterward, you can usually find us hanging out with a controller in hand, diving into an open-world RPG. Let’s just say we’ve spent a truly impressive amount of time in Skyrim — and yes, fast travel totally counts as travel!
